Electric scooters are powered by electricity stored in a battery. This battery powers a motor that drives the wheels. When you give a push and press the gas pedal, an electronic signal is sent to the motor, telling it to start. The harder you press on the gas pedal, the faster the scooter goes.

In most cases, scooters and electric bikes require a little assembly. Electric bikes may require straightening the handlebars, mounting the pedals, and adjusting the seatpost to the correct height. Simple, practical instructions are provided inside the box.

Electric scooters generally require less preparation time, as all you need to do is attach the handlebars or stem. The necessary tools and bolts are usually supplied with the scooter.

Check that the scooter is correctly charged and that the charger LED has changed from red to green.

Make sure it lights up correctly on the screen.

To start it, push your foot down until you reach a speed of 3 to 4 km/h, then press the gas pedal. The motor will take over. This procedure is a safety measure to prevent the scooter from starting if you are stationary and touch the gas pedal, or if a child inadvertently accelerates.

The serial number can be found on a label affixed to your product, beginning with “20”. We advise you to record this number and archive it on another medium in case the label comes unstuck.

Civil liability insurance is mandatory to use your electric scooter. It is generally included in your comprehensive home insurance policy. We recommend that you contact your insurer to make sure you’re riding legally.

Some insurers also offer to insure your electric scooter against theft or physical damage.

Due to passenger safety regulations, it is not possible to carry a scooter on board an aircraft. However, you can transport it by removing the battery from your UrbanGlide electric scooter.

Our products are designed to comply with current legislation. We remind you that it is strictly forbidden to drive at more than 25km/h in urban areas.

We recommend that you wipe the parts of your scooter likely to get dirty (deck, brakes, wheels and handlebars) with a damp cloth. The scooter must be switched off and unplugged from the mains before cleaning.

Then leave your scooter to air-dry.

The values given are maximum values. As with a car, conditions of use influence range or power: user weight, terrain, acceleration, braking, weather, etc…

Please refer to your scooter manual, which can also be downloaded from our website, for identification and resolution of error codes.

You can inflate your tires to a maximum of 2 bars.

Recharging time depends on battery capacity. On average, it can take between 3 and 9 hours for a full charge.

In theory, an electric scooter can be recharged several times. This depends on the type of battery. Most batteries today are lithium-ion. Batteries of this type can be recharged a large number of times (generally between 1,000 and 1,200 cycles) before seeing their performance drop noticeably.

This will vary according to how you use the battery and the best practices you apply to prolong its life.

Please note that progressive battery wear and loss of autonomy are normal consequences.

  • Do not drain the battery completely. Recharge it as soon as it is on reserve (between 20 and 30% residual charge).
  • Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures; an average of 15°C is ideal.
  • Always use the original charger, as they are very sensitive to the charging mode, which differs from one charger to another.
  • Switch on the scooter.
  • Hold the brake and press the central button 5 times. A beep will sound.
  • Release the brake.

To activate the motor on your Bike 140, you need to give it a push with your foot. The motor will then take over. This is a safety measure to prevent accidental starting.
